In 2019, driven by psychotic delusions, Colin Schälli boarded a train from Zurich to Paris with nothing but the clothes he was wearing. He went on to spend seven months living as a clochard on the streets of Paris.
This exhibition brings together documentation from that period of homelessness alongside drawings created later during his recovery as part of an art therapy process. Conceived after his recovery, the project introduces a measured distance, confronting a profound personal crisis with the clarity and discipline of his practice.
The exhibition, titled Je suis fatigué, opens in Via Frausin 3/B on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 6:18 PM, and includes a greeting by curator Riccardo Lisi, who previously hosted Colin Schälli at the independent space la rada in Locarno, Switzerland, where the artist had already begun a period of homelessness.
18:18 Art Across Borders, organized by Associazione 18:18, is an independent exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art, research, and experimentation. Conceived as a living and evolving environment, it welcomes diverse artistic languages while fostering dialogue between artists and the community.
A space of passage and exchange, it offers a platform for visibility, encounter, and mutual recognition across borders.
